Service Description: Hydrodynamic model output was used to map the frequency of occurrence of current-induced active sand ripples at the sea floor of the North Sea for the year 2006. Formation and persistence of active ripples have a meaning for advective flow within the sediment and thus the ventilation of pore water with oxygen.
